Luke Sawitsky

Luke is the Head of Business Development at Aquatic Labs, where he
brings an extensive background with early-stage startup operations and investment, deep blue economy connections, and hands on experience working on the water to bear.  Prior to joining Aquatic, Luke was a Principal at SeaAhead, where he oversaw the SeaAhead Blue Angel Investor Group as they invested in over 30 early-stage ocean tech startups, authored white papers on topics including aquafeed innovation and marine Carbon Dioxide Removal technologies, and advised startups in SeaAhead's Venture Studio and BlueSwell Accelerator programs.

Luke also has previous experience in ocean industries, having worked
as a salmon buyer in Alaska, as an investor in fisheries assets
throughout North America, and at an early-stage startup creating
biotech solutions for the aquaculture industry. He has a BA from
Northwestern University, and both an MS and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, Luke is an avid fisherman, skier, diver, and outdoorsman.
